MANILA, Philippines – Hidilyn Diaz won Gold in weightlifting event in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics making her the first gold medalist Olympian for the Philippines. She has received lots of rewards for this feat. The recent addition is the scholarship grants from Carl E. Balita, owner of Carl Balita Review Center (CBRC) and Philippines’ renowned entrepreneur and educator.
Diaz will give given an Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETTEAP) option to finish her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology in Panpacific University.
Panpacific University President, Rhonda Padilla and Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Engelbert Pasag concur the offer under the Dr. Carl Balita Executive Education Program, a center for lifelong learning designed to provide applied graduate studies.
ETEEAP is a system of educational evaluation that recognizes both non-formal and informal knowledge, skills, and prior learning acquired through education. Competency-based evaluation can be used by higher education institutions by developing equivalency competence standards and a comprehensive assessment system that uses innovative assessment approaches.
Aside from the Bachelor’s degree scholarship, she was also offered full master’s and doctorate scholarships in Criminology and PhD in public administration, respectively at the graduate school of the same university.

Since joining in the Olympics, the Philippines has won eleven (11) Olympic medals including one (1) gold, seven (7) bronze, and three (3) silver.
