DFA UPDATES: OFW COVID-19 Cases as of June 12, 2021

Manila, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has released the latest COVID-19 update for our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) on Saturday, 12 June 2021. The DFA reported 153 new COVID-19 cases and four (4) new recoveries among our Filipinos working abroad.

Meanwhile, two (2) death has been reported and three (3) new cases were verified by DOH-IHR.

A total confirmed cases as of June 12, 2021 ballooned to 20,090 OFWs, of these 4,563 were verified by the DOH IHR.

1,198 were reported total deaths and 12,073 were reported total recoveries by the DFA.

A total of 1,198 OFWs were reported deaths, of these 793 were from the Middle East and Africa, 33 were from Asia Pacific Region, 130 were from Europe and 242 were from Americas.

Likewise, the DFA also reported that 12,073 OFWs were reported discharge/recovered, of these 6,293 were from the Middle East and Africa, 2,683 were from Asia Pacific Region, 2,470 were from Europe and 627 were from Americas.

Meanwhile, a total of 6,819 OFWs were subject for undergoing treatment, of these 4,273 were from the Middle East and Africa, 1,501 were from Asia Pacific Region, 930 were from Europe and 115 were from Americas.

As of June 12, the Department of Health (DOH) said that the number of active cases in the Philippines has increased to 60,341 with 8,027 reported new cases today. 8,940 were reported new recoveries. Complete details are presented in the table below.
