Manila, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has released the latest COVID-19 update for our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) on Saturday, May 15, 2021. The DFA reported 26 new Covid-19 cases with no deaths and no recoveries among our Filipinos working abroad.

A total confirmed cases of 18,607 OFWs were infected by the virus. About 0.06% or 1,162 of the total confirmed cases were reported deaths and about 61.1% or 11,369 of the total confirmed cases were reported recoveries by the DFA.
Meanwhile, a total of 6,076 OFWs were subject for undergoing treatment. 3,794 out of the 6,076 were from the Middle East and Africa, 1,224 out of 6,076 were from Asia Pacific Region, 943 out of the 6,076 were from Europe and 115 out of 6,076 were from Americas.
According to the DFA, the total number of COVID-19 recoveries and deaths marginally decrease to 61.10% and 6.24%, respectively. Meanwhile those undergoing treatment has increased to 32.65%.

Latest COVID-19 Tally as of May 15, 2021 (Philippines)
On May 15, the Department of Health (DOH) said that the number of active cases in the Philippines has increased by 6,739, having a total of 56,709 active cases. There were 8,952 new recoveries giving the total number of recoveries to 1,062,427. Complete details are presented in the table below.
