Manila, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has released the latest COVID-19 update for our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) on Wednesday, 26 May 2021. The DFA reported 143 new Covid-19 cases and 130 new recoveries among our Filipinos working abroad.
Meanwhile, no deaths has been reported.


The total cases of countries/territories with Filipino Covid-10 cases remains at 94.
A total confirmed cases as of May 25, 2021 ballooned to18840 OFWs, of these 4,417 were verified by the DOH IHR . About 6.2% or 1,168 of the total confirmed cases were reported deaths and about 61.4% or 11,560 of the total confirmed cases were reported recoveries by the DFA.
Meanwhile, a total of 6,112 OFWs were subject for undergoing treatment. 3,796 out of the 6,112 were from the Middle East and Africa, 1,270 out of 6,112 were from Asia Pacific Region, 931 out of the 6,112 were from Europe and 115 out of 6,112 were from Americas.
According to the DFA, the total number of COVID-19 recoveries and deaths marginally decrease to 61.10% and 6.24%, respectively. Meanwhile those undergoing treatment has increased to 32.65%.
Latest COVID-19 Tally as of May 26, 2021 (Philippines)
As of May 26, the Department of Health (DOH) said that the number of active cases in the Philippines has increased by 5,310 giving a total active cases to 46,037. 7,408 were reported new recoveries giving the total number of recoveries to 1,127,770.
