Manila, Philippines — The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has announced on Tuesday, August 24 that the cash distribution for “Ayuda”/ Cash Aid in the National Capital Region (NCR) is now at 75% complete.
DILG Secretary Eduardo Año said that 8 million individuals have received their cash aid in the NCR. This means that 8 billion has been distributed since August 11.
“Sa ngayon po ay nasa 75% na ang pamamahagi ng ayuda sa NCR, kung saan po ay 8.44 million individual beneficiaries ang nakatanggap. So kabuuan po, P8.4 billion na ang naipamahagi natin mula noong August 11,” Sec. Año said.
During President Rodrigo Duterte’s public address, Talk To The People, Secretary Año also listed the local government units (LGUs) that finished first in the distribution of “Ayuda”/ Cash Aid in their respective districts.
According to the Secretary, Caloocan City was the top LGUs to finish in distributing cash aids. Here are the following LGUs with the percentage of completion in the distribution of cash aids.
- Pateros : 96.87%
- Manila : 82:71%
- Mandaluyong : 82:52%
- Paranaque : 77.89%
To give way for the shortlisted individuals, the deadline for distributing cash aid/ “ayuda” will be extended until August 31.
Meanwhile, the province of Laguna has provided cash assistance to almost 390,000 individuals, and distribution in Bataan has also been distributed with more than 1,300 beneficiaries.
“Kasalukuyang nasa higit na 14% na ang naipamahagi sa mga benepisyaryo o katumbas ng P360 million — P390 million,” Año said.
“Sa probinsiya naman po ng Bataan, nagsimula na sa ngayong araw ang pamamahagi ng ayuda sa ibang LGUs ng Bataan. At makikita po natin na nakapamahagi na sila sa halagang 1.27 million sa 1,279 kwalipikadong residente,” he added.
