Manila, Philippines – Through the Resolution No. 119 s. 2021, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) provisionally approved last June 3 the conduct of Professional Licensure Examinations from July to September 2021.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that the request of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to conduct licensure examinations from July to September has been approved by the the IATF-EID.
The Department of Health (DOH) Secretary and IATF Chairman Francisco T. Duque III and Office of the Cabinet Secretariat Secretary and IATF Co-Chairman Karlo Alexei B. Nograles signed the Resolution which was endorse and request by the PRC. Nevertheless, this resolution is subject to the conditions set by the IATF Technical Working Group which may includes,
- PRC’s health and safety protocols the observance of minimum public health standards;
- Issuance of the PRC-DOH-PNP joint guidelines and;
- community quarantine classification set on certain areas and provinces.
With regards the approved recommendations of the IATF Technical Working Group, the PRC shall submit the list of venues and dates of the licensure examinations to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Philippine National Police Joint Task Force COVID Shield.
Earlier this year, the IATF approved the conduct of May and June licensure examinations which includes May 2021 RadTech and X-Ray Tech Licensure Exam, April 2021 Technical Evaluation for the Upgrading as Professional Electrical Engineers, medical technologists, sanitary engineers, veterinarians, social workers, geologists, physicians, respiratory therapists, optometrists, pharmacists, naval architects, and marine engineers, and the conduct of qualifying assessment for foreign medical professionals.

The Professional Regulation Commission has likewise made an official announcement regarding the approval of the IATF on the conduct of board exams from July to September 2021.

The Resolution signed by the Department of Health (DOH) Secretary and IATF Chairman Francisco T. Duque III and Office of the Cabinet Secretariat Secretary and IATF Co-Chairman Karlo Alexei B. Nograles, indicates that the recommendation of IATF Technical Working Group on the request of PRC is subject to the strict monitoring and observance of minimum public health standards and health and safety protocols of the PRC, and subject to the issuance of the PRC-DOH-Philippine National Police Joint Guidelines, and the community quarantine classification as the IATF may implement on certain provinces, highly urbanized cities, and independent and component cities.
Various Board Exams such as physicians, nurses, teachers, veterinarians, psychologists, and social workers, among others are set to scheduled from July and September.
