Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino, Former Philippine President dies

MANILA, Philippines – Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III or Pnoy, the former president of the Philippines has died earlier this morning June 24, 2021 after being rushed to Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City, according to reports.

Noynoy Aquino is 61 years old.

The member of the family who shared the news requested anonymity as he is not in the position to make the official statement.

President Aquino is a fourth generation politician and a chairman of the Liberal Party from 2010 to 2016.

He serves at the 15th President of the Philippines. The only son of the President Corazon Aquino and Senator Benigno Aquino Jr.

His term ended in 2016 and was followed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
