MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) releases the latest weather update.

Forecast Weather Conditions
There is currently no Tropical Cyclone within and outside the country. However, flash floods and landslides are a continuous threat, especially in Luzon.

Today, the Bicol Region and Quezon will be experiencing “cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms” due to the Shear Line. This weather condition will cause “possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.”
The Northeast Monsoon will continue to affect several parts of Luzon, including Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, and Aurora, which will have “cloudy skies with rains.” Residents should also be alert for “possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate, to at times, heavy rains.” On the other hand, the Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and Central Luzon will only have “partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains,” bringing “no significant impact” on the land area.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have “partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms” due to localized thunderstorms. This weather condition also poses a threat of possible flash floods and landslides.
Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

Like yesterday’s report, Luzon will still experience moderate to strong winds moving from the northeast to the east. The condition of its coastal water will remain moderate to rough (2.1 to 4.0 meters).
Visayas and Mindanao can expect light to moderate winds from the east to the northeast, with slight to moderate coastal water conditions (0.6 to 2.5 meters).
