MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) releases the latest weather update.

Forecast Weather Conditions
The Northeast Monsoon continues to affect Luzon. In the next 3-5 days, PAGASA states that there won’t be any threat of a Tropical Cyclone entering or forming in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will be experiencing “cloudy skies with rains” today due to the Northeast Monsoon. This weather condition will cause “possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.”
Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will have “partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms” due to the localized thunderstorms. Residents in these areas should prepare for “possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.”
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon can rest easy today as the Northeast Monsoon will only bring “partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains” to these regions. This weather condition brings “no significant impact” to the land areas.
Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds moving to the northeast. The condition of its coastal water will be moderate to rough (2.5 to 5.0 meters).
The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao can also expect moderate to strong winds, moving from the east to the northeast, with moderate to rough coastal water conditions (1.2 to 2.8 meters).
The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind conditions, and their direction will be to the northeast. These areas can expect slight to moderate coastal water conditions (0.6 to 2.5 meters).
