MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) releases the latest weather update.

Forecast Weather Conditions
There is currently no active Tropical Cyclone outside and within the country. However, PAGASA has observed that the Low-Pressure Area (LPA) is now 705 km East of Davao City (5.9°N, 131.9°E).

The LPA will affect Visayas, Mindanao, Albay, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, and Masbate, bringing “cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.” Residents from these areas should prepare for “possible flooding or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.”
As the Northeast Monsoon continues to affect Luzon, areas such as Cagayan Valley, Quezon, Aurora, Marinduque, and the rest of Bicol Region will have “cloudy skies with rains.” This weather condition will bring “possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.”
On the other hand, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience “partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains,” which is a less threatening weather condition caused by the Northeast Monsoon, as it brings “no significant impact” on the land areas.
Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

Like yesterday’s report, Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds moving from the northeast to the east. The condition of its coastal water will be moderate to rough (1.2 to 4.0 meters).
Visayas and Mindanao can also expect moderate to strong winds from the northeast to the north, with moderate to rough coastal water conditions (1.2 to 4.0 meters).
