MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) releases the latest weather update.

Forecast Weather Conditions
The Low-Pressure Area (LPA) is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. However, the trough it left behind still affects certain areas across that country, especially Mindanao and Visayas. Heavy rains, thunderstorms, and floods are still inevitable in today’s weather.

The trough of LPA will affect Visayas, Mindanao, and the southern portion of Palawan, including Kalayaan Islands, bringing “cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.“ Residents from these areas should prepare for “possible flooding or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.”
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have “cloudy skies with rains” due to the Northeast Monsoon. Like the latter, this weather condition can cause “possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.”
As for Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, the Northeast Monsoon will also affect these remaining places. However, it will only cause “partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains,” bringing “no significant impact” on the land areas.
Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

Luzon and Visayas will experience moderate to strong winds moving from the northeast to the east. The condition of its coastal water will remain moderate to rough (1.2 to 4.0 meters).
Mindanao can expect moderate to strong winds from the northeast to the north, with moderate to rough coastal water conditions (1.2 to 4.0 meters).
