MANILA, Philippines – In a Facebook post dated May 10, 2021, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said that there are now 59 deaths in the department due to COVID-19.
According to PNP Health Service, there is 1 new recorded fatality in the department bringing a total deaths to 59.
As of May 10, 2021, there were 72 new recorded additional cases of Covid-19 in PNP department bringing the total number of cases to 21,168. 48 were recorded new recoveries. Complete details are presented in the table below.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the Philippines is now at 1,108,826 with recorded 6,846 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, May 10, 2021.
5% or 59,897 of the total cases in the Philippines were active. 8,193 were recorded new recoveries bringing the total recoveries to 1,030,367.
DOH said that 90 were recorded new deaths giving a total death toll to 18,562.

DOH likewise reminded the public to practice the use of protective measures such as wearing mask and wearing face shield.
