PNP COVID-19 Updates (Active Cases, Deaths, Recoveries) as of May 25, 2021

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) Health Service Department has issued the list of new COVID-19 status (active cases, deaths, recoveries) as of May 25, 2021.

As per the department, there were 170 new Covid-19 Cases reported bringing the total number of active cases to 1,550. 99 were recorded additional recoveries giving a total recoveries to 21,399.

Meanwhile, Police Chief Guillermo Eleazar announced the death of one police personnel.

“The 64th PNP fatality is a 44-year-old policeman assigned in Zamboanga. He was tested positive on May 7, and was transferred to ICU on May 21 due to difficulty in breathing. On May 24, he was pronounced dead by his attending physician due to Respiratory Failure,” Police Chief Eleazar said.  

Police Chief Eleazar expressed his condolences to the bereave family of the police officer.

“Ako po ay personal na nakikiramay sa pamilya ng ating pulis na pumanaw dahil sa Covid-19. Kami ay nakikipagugnayan na sa pamilya ng pulis upang maipaabot ang anumang tulong na kailangan” Chief Pnp Eleazar said.  

“Patuloy ang ating pagmomonitor sa ating mga kasamahan na tinamaan ng virus at pagaabot ng tulong sa kanilang pamilya, bilang frontliners dobleng pag-iingat ang ating payo sa mga pulis na nasa labas at nagpapatrolya,” he added.

COVID-19 Latest Updates in the Philippines

The number of active cases in the Philippines has continuously went down to 48,201 with only 3,972 reported new cases as of May 25.

As announced by the DOH, there were 4,659 new recoveries giving the total number of recoveries to 1,120,452.

DOH likewise reminded the public to practice the use of protective measures such as wearing mask and wearing face shield.

The Department also encourages the people to practice proper sanitation such as using alcohol-based or washing hands this also may protect us from spreading the virus.
