PRC: August 2021 Licensure Exams for Psychologists and Psychometricians was moved to 2022

Manila, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that the August 2021 Licensure Examinations for Psychologists and Psychometricians will be rescheduled to 2022 pursuant to PRC Resolution No. 1368 s. 2021

The PRC and the  Board of Psychology will administer the exams in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Quoting from the resolution,

Proclamation No. 1021 (s. 2020) extended the state of calamity in the entire country until September 12, 2021 citing that the number of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) positive cases and deaths continue to rise despite efforts and interventions to contain the same

“The Commission issued Resolution No. 1283 (s. 2020) scheduling the licensure examinations for calendar year 2021 wherein the Licensure Examinations for Psychologists and Psychometricians (LEPP) were scheduled on February 23 & 24, 2021 and August 1 & 2, 2021, respectively,” PRC said.

Licensure Examination for Psychologists is classified as small-scale licensure examination and Licensure Examination for Psychometricians as medium-scale licensure examination, the profession’s stakeholders, such as Accredited Professional Organization (APO)/Accredited Integrated Professional Organization, Academe, and/or Sector may recommend its cancellation or postponement.

Most of the exams were re-scheduled on the third and fourth quarter of 2021 but no assurance if these will still pursue due to community quarantines due to COVID-19.
