Manila, Philippines– The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that the June 2021 Licensure Examination for Architects (LEA) will be rescheduled to August 2021 pursuant to Resolution No. 1365 (s. 2021).

Quoting from the resolution,
Proclamation No. 1021 (s. 2020) extended the state of calamity in the entire country until September 12, 2021 citing that the number of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) positive cases and deaths continue to rise despite efforts and interventions to contain the same
“despite the lowering of the quarantine classification status of the Greater Manila Area or the “NCR Plus” to a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) beginning May 15, 2021 until the end of the month, the number of daily new infected cases have yet to reduce significantly ” PRC added.
LEA is classified as a medium-scale licensure examination, the profession’s stakeholders, such as Accredited Professional Organization (APO)/Accredited Integrated Professional Organization, Academe, and/or Sector may recommend its cancellation or postponement.

Most of the exams were re-scheduled on the third and fourth quarter of 2021 but no assurance if these will still pursue due to community quarantines due to COVID-19.
