Quoting from the resolution,

Proclamation No. 1021 (s. 2020) extended the state of calamity in the entire country until September 12, 2021 citing that the number of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) positive cases and deaths continue to rise despite efforts and interventions to contain the same

“President Rodrigo R. Duterte announced the extension of General Community Quarantine (GCQ) “with restrictions” in NCR Plus from June 1 to June 15, 2021 while Cagayan de Oro City was placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) starting June 1 to 15, 2021,” PRC said

“due to the imposition of MECQ in Cagayan de Oro, the following situations/problems were encountered by the examinees:

  1. Difficult cross-border travel from/to their provinces; non-issuance of travel certificates since
    the reason for coming to Cagayan de Oro is considered non-essential;
  2. Bookings in the hotels/inns were already canceled because those will be used for the
    isolation of COVID-19 positive cases;
  3. Scheduled for RT-PCR test were canceled because they are not considered in the priority
    list; and
  4. No Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) available. ” PRC added.

As per PRC announcement, MELE has only 14 examinees in the NCR and 35 examinees in Cagayan De Oro.
