Manila, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) will adopt free tickets for vaccinated passengers of MRT-3, LRT-2, and Philippine National Railways (PNR) from August 3 to 20, extending the time under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) Metro Manila, according to Transportation Sec. Art Tugade.
According to Secretary Tugade, Health takes more priority over income. As a result, he launched a free ride for those who are vaccinated.
APOR’s (Authorized Persons Outside Residence) just need to present their vaccination cards as confirmation that they have previously got the vaccine to qualify for the free fare.
PPA, CAAP, and MIAA will provide complimentary coffee, water, and snacks to vaccinated persons waiting to travel to ports and airports.
According to DOTR, This initiative will assist the country in safeguarding the health and safety of its constituents, as well as encouraging citizens to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Sec. Tugade said.
