TOP SCHOOLS: Criminology Board Examination CLE April 2023

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC ) releases the top-performing schools and performance summary of all schools for the April 2023 Criminology Licensure Exam (CLE) on May 4, 2023, or 16 working days after the exams.

The licensure exams for Criminology were administered by the PRC and Board of Criminology headed by its Chairman, Atty. Ramil G. Gabao, and its members, George O. Fernandez, Warren m. Corpuz, and Lani T. Palmones.

The PRC and the Board of Board of Criminology conducted the exams on April 3-5, 2023 at testing areas in Manila/National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Bacolod, Bohol, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Mati, Naga, Occidental Mindoro, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tagum, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

Previous CLE – Top-performing Schools

In the December 2023 CLE, Tarlac State University (Tarlac College of Tech.) ranked first in the Top-performing school with a 100% passing rate (87/87). Cavite State University (Don Severino Agrl. Coll.) came second with a 95.70% passing rate (89/93).

The Univesity of the Cordilleras (f.o Baguio C.F.) was the top-performing school in the June 2022 CLE with 94.37% passing rate (134/142). It was followed by the University of Iloilo with 84.48% passing rate (98/116).

In December 2021 CLE, King’s College of the Philippines Inc. – Benguet ranked first in the top-performing school with 98.97%, or 96 out of 97 examinees passed the exam. It was followed by the University of the Cordilleras (for.Baguio C.F.) with 93.41%, or 156 out of 167 examinees passed the exam.

Cavite State University (Don Severino Agr’l Coll.) was the top-performing school in the December 2019 Criminolgy Licensure Exam with 98.78% rating or 81 out of 82 examinees passed the licensure exam. Tarlac State University (Tarlac College of Tech) came second with 97.06% or 66 out of 68 examinees who passed the licensure exam.

In the Criminology Licensure Exam held last December 2018, Tarlac State University ranked first with 98.25% or 55 out of 56 examinees passed the board exams. King’s College of the Philippines – Bambang Inc. came second with 96.23% or 51 out of 53 examinees passed the exam.

In the December 2017 Criminology Licensure Exam, Tarlac State University topped the exam with 98.21% or 55 out of 56 examinees passed the exam. The University of the Cordilleras came second with 96.77% or 60 out of 62 passed the exam.

Registration of Successful Examinees

The schedule of the online registration for the issuance of PRC ID and Certificate of Registration for passers of the Criminology Licensure Exam will be from June 5 – 9 and June 13, 2023. The successful examinees are advised to register on PRC’s official website and follow the instructions for online registration.

Those who successfully registered online are required to bring the following:

  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal (downloadable)
  • Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only)
  • Two pieces of passport-sized ID pictures (white background and complete name tag)
  • Two sets of documentary stamps
  • One piece of the short brown envelope

Verification of Ratings

The Verification of Ratings (VoR) for the April 2023 Criminology Board Exam will be available online a few days after the result has been posted.

The successful examinees need the following information as it is required to fill out the following field:

  • Name of Exam
  • Examination date
  • Application number
  • First name and Surname
  • Date of birth

Target Date of Release

As per previous releases of Criminology Board Exam results and the target release date written in the PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the April 2023 Criminology Board Exam results are expected to be out in 30 working days after the last day of exams. However, it may also be released earlier or later than the said dates without prior announcement(s).
