TOP SCHOOLS: March 2023 Medical Technologist Licensure Exam (MedTech)

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases the top-performing schools and performance summary of all schools for the March 2023 Medical Technologist Licensure Exam (MTLE) in six 3 working days after the exams.

PRC announces that 4,714 out of 6,165 passed the Medical Technologists Licensure Examination.

The licensure exams for Medical Technologists were administered by the PRC and Board of Medical Technology headed by its Chairman, Dr. Marilyn A. Cabal-Barza, and its members, Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco.

The PRC and the Board of Medical Technology conducted the exams on March 8-9, 2023 in Manila/National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

Previous Medtech – Top Performing Schools

In August 2022 MedTech Licensure Exam, the University of the Immaculate Concepcio – Davao ranked first in the top-performing school with 88.57% ratings (124/140). De La Salle Medical & Health Sciences Inst. came second with 83.53% (71/85).

In March 2022 MedTech, the University of Baguio was the top-performing school with 82.18% rating or 83 out of 101 passed the licensure exam.

In January 2022 MedTech Board Exam, Saint Louis University ranked first with 93.98% passing rate, or 78 out 83 examinees passed the licensure exam. It was followed by the University of Baguio with 84.21% or 80 out of 95 examinees passed the board exam.

In March 2021 Medical Technologist Licensure Exam Coverage, Top-performing school, Saint Louis University (SLU) was the top-performing school with 98.01% or 246 out of 251 passing the exam. It was followed by Adventist University of the Philippines with 96.55% or 56 out of 58 passed the exam.

In the Medtech Licensure Exam held last January 2021, Saint Louis University (139/139) and Velez College (97/97) were the top-performing schools with a 100% passing rates. Meanwhile, Cagayan State University – Andrews Campus ranked second with 97.62% or 123 out of 126 passed the exam.

Cebu Doctors University was the top-performing school in the September 2019 Medtech Licensure Exam with 100.00% or 100 examinees passed the exam. Lyceum of the Philippines University came second with 98.94% or 93 OUT 94 passed the exam.

Registration of Successful Examinees

The schedule of the online registration for the issuance of PRC ID and Certificate of Registration for passers of the Medical Technologist Licensure Exam will be from May 2 – 5, May 8 – 12, and May 15 – 19, 2023. The successful examinees are advised to register on PRC’s official website and follow the instructions for online registration.

Those who successfully registered online are required to bring the following:

  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal (downloadable)
  • Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only)
  • Two pieces of passport-sized ID pictures (white background and complete name tag)
  • Two sets of documentary stamps
  • One piece of the short brown envelope

Verification of Ratings

The Verification of Ratings (VoR) for the March 2023 Medical Technologist Licensure Exam will be available online a few days after the result has been posted.

The successful examinees need the following information as it is required to fill out the following field:

  • Name of Exam
  • Examination date
  • Application number
  • First name and Surname
  • Date of birth

Target Date of Release

As per previous releases of Medical Technologist Licensure Exam results and the target release date written in the PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the March 2023 Medical Technologist Licensure Exam results are expected to be out in 3S working days after the last day of exams. However, it may also be released earlier or later than the said dates without prior announcement(s).
