TOP SCHOOLS: May 2023 Chemical Engineer Board Exam Performance of Schools

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases the top-performing schools and performance summary of all schools for the May 2023 Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination in two (2) working days after the exams.

PRC announces that 472 out of 801 passed the Chemical Engineers Licensure Examination.

The licensure exams for Chemical Engineering were administered by PRC and the Board of Chemical Engineering headed by its Chairman, Engr. Ofelia V. Bulaong, and its members, Engr. Jeffrey G. Mijares and Engr. Cyd P. Aguilera.

The PRC and the Board of Chemical Engineering conducted the exams on May 16-18, 2023 in Manila/ National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, CDO, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Lucena, Cagayan de Oro, and Legazpi

Previous Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam – Top Performing Schools

In the October 2022 CELE Top-performing School, the University of the Philippines-Diliman ranked first with 96.36% (53/55) passing rate. The University of the Philippines-Los Banos came second with 92.59% (25/27) passing rate.

The University of the Philippines-Diliman (44/44) and the Univesity of San Carlos (31/31) were the top-performing schools in the May 2022 Chemical Engineer Licensure Exam with a 100% passing rate. The University of the Philippines-Los Banos followed it with a 95.45% passing rate or 42 out of 44 passed the exam.

The University of the Philippines – Diliman was the Top-performing school in the October 2021 Chemical Engineer Board exam with 100% or 14 out of 14 examinees passing the exam. It was followed by the University of San Carlos with 94.12% or 16 out of 17 passing the exam.

In the Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam held last November 2019, the University of the Philippines – Diliman ranked first with 100% or 119 examinees passing the licensure exam. University of the Philippines – Los Banos came second with 86.67% or 78 out of 90 examinees passing the exam.

The University of the Philippines – Diliman was the top performing school in the November 2018 Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam with 96.10% or 74 out of 77 examinees passing the exam.

The University of the Philippines – Diliman was the top performing school in the November 2017 Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam with a 98.77% passing rate or 80 out of 81 examinees passed the exam. Meanwhile, the University of the Philippines – Los Banos came second with 86.89% or 53 out of 61 examinees who passed the exam.

Registration of Successful Examinees

The schedule of the online registration for the issuance of PRC ID and Certificate of Registration for passers of the Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam will be on July 17 – 20, 2023. The successful examinees are advised to register on PRC’s official website and follow the instructions for online registration.

Those who successfully registered online are required to bring the following:

  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal (downloadable)
  • Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only)
  • Two pieces of passport-sized ID pictures (white background and complete name tag)
  • Two sets of documentary stamps
  • One piece of a short brown envelope

Verification of Ratings

The Verification of Ratings (VoR) for the May 2023 Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam will be available online a few days after the result has been posted.

The successful examinees need the following information as it is required to fill out the following field:

  • Name of Exam
  • Examination date
  • Application number
  • First name and Surname
  • Date of birth

Target Date of Release

As per previous releases of Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination results and the target release date written in the PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the May 2023 Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination results are expected to be out in two (2) working days after the last day of exams. However, it may also be released earlier or later than the said dates without prior announcement(s).
