MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the top-performing schools and performance summary of all schools for the September 2023 Social Worker Licensure Exam (SWLE) in three (3) working days after the exams.
PRC announces that 3,878 out of 6,833 passed the Licensure Examination for Social Workers.
The PRC and Board administered the licensure exams for Social Workers for Social Workers headed by its Chairman, Lorna C. Gabad, and its members, Mary Ofelia L. Endaya, Rosetta G. Palma, Fe J. Sinsona, and Ely B. Acosta.
The PRC and the Board of Social Workers administered the exams on September 18-20, 2023 at NCR/Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Koronadal, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga

Previous Social Workers’ Top Performing School
The following schools were the top-performing schools in the September 2022 SWLE board exam with 100% passing rate; Asian Social Institute (10/10), Ateneo De Davao University (20/20), Bicol University-Tabaco (25/25), CARAGA State University-Butuan City (85/85), La Verdad Christian College (13/13), Leyte Normal University (67/67), Notre Dame of Marbel University (13/13), and University of the Philippines-Diliman (19/19). Bicol University-Daraga came second with 99.05% passing rate (104/105).
CARAGA State University-Butuan ranked first in the February 2022 SWLE Top-performing schools with 100% passing rate or 27 out of 27 passed the exam. It was followed by Palawan State University-P.Princesa with 92.31% or 12 out 13 passed the exam.
In August 2021 SWLE, the La Verdad Christian College was the top-performing school with 100% or 13 examinees passed the licensure exam. It was followed by Sacred Heart College of Lucena City, Inc. with 93.75%, or 15 out of 16 passed the exam.
In the SWLE, Mindanao State University – Marawi City ranked first in the February 2021 Social Workers Licensure Examination Top Performing School with 94.59%, or 35 out of 37 passed the board exams. Meanwhile, Lourdes College ranked second with 83.33%, or 10 out of 12 passed the board exams.
In the same exam, University of the Philippines (UP) – Diliman ranked first in the August 2019 Social Workers Licensure Examination Top Performing School with 100%, or 25 out of 25 passed the board exams. Meanwhile, Leyte Normal University ranked second with 97.96%, or 48 out of 49 passed the board exams.
In the same exam, Bicol University – Tabaco ranked first in the July 2018 Social Workers Licensure Examination Top Performing School with 91.07%, or 51 out of 56 passed the board exams. Meanwhile, Bicol University – Daraga ranked second with 90.60%, or 106 out of 117 passed the board exams.
Registration of Successful Examinees
The schedule of the online registration for the issuance of PRC ID and Certificate of Registration for passers of the Social Workers Licensure Exam will be announced from October 25 – 27 and October 30 – 31, 2023. The successful examinees are advised to register on PRC’s official website and follow the instructions for online registration.
Those who successfully registered online are required to bring the following:
- Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal (downloadable)
- Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only)
- Two pieces of passport-sized ID pictures (white background and complete name tag)
- Two sets of documentary stamps
- One piece of the short brown envelope
Verification of Ratings
The Verification of Ratings (VoR) for the September 2023 Social Workers Licensure Exam will be available online a few days after the result has been posted.
The successful examinees need the following information as it is required to fill out the following field:
- Name of Exam (e.g., Social Workers)
- Exam)
- Examination date
- Application number
- First name and Surname
- Date of birth
Target Date of Release
As per previous releases of Social Workers licensure exam results and the target release date written in the PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the September 2023 Social Workers Licensure Exam results are expected to be out in three (3) working days after the last day of exams. However, it may also be released earlier or later than the said dates without prior announcement(s).
