TOPNOTCHERS: Criminology Board Exam CLE April 2023

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases the list of the top 10 examinees /topnotchers for the April 2023 Criminology Licensure Exam (CLE) on May 4, 2023, or 16 working days after the exams.

The licensure exams for Criminology were administered by the PRC and Board of Criminology headed by its Chairman, Atty. Ramil G. Gabao, and its members, George O. Fernandez, Warren m. Corpuz, and Lani T. Palmones.

The PRC and the Board of Board of Criminology conducted the exams on April 3-5, 2023 at testing areas in Manila/National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Bacolod, Bohol, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Mati, Naga, Occidental Mindoro, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tagum, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

Previous Criminologists Topnotchers

Narcilisa Ponase Talipnao of the University of Baguio ranked first in the December 2022 CLE with 91.60%. It was followed by Daffodil Gayle Labarite Bautista of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges with 90.95%.

In June 2022 CLE, Lyen Carel Togonon Garcia of the University of Mindanao-Davao City ranked first in the licensure exam with 90.70% rating. Arianne Patagnan Supat of Naval State University (for Naval Inst.)-Naval came second with 90.30%.

Brenyl Doning Abilla of the University of Mindanao – Tagum led the December 2021 Criminology Licensure Exam with 90.75%. Benamin Elegores Rinabor of lake Lanao College, Inc. came second with 89.55%.

In November 2019 CLE, Fahadale Saripada Abbas of John Paul II College topped the board exam with 91.20%. It was followed by John Patrick Aguado Provado of Eugelio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology with 90.75%.

In June 2018, ohn Bonrev Roi Villasin Rodas of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation – Lucena City ranked first in the CLE with 90.50%. It was followed by Alben Deposa Ponso of Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology with 90.10% rating.

Registration of Successful Examinees

The schedule of the online registration for the issuance of PRC ID and Certificate of Registration for passers of the Criminology Licensure Exam will be from June 5 – 9 and June 13, 2023. The successful examinees are advised to register on PRC’s official website and follow the instructions for online registration.

Those who successfully registered online are required to bring the following:

  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal (downloadable)
  • Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only)
  • Two pieces of passport-sized ID pictures (white background and complete name tag)
  • Two sets of documentary stamps
  • One piece of the short brown envelope

Verification of Ratings

The Verification of Ratings (VoR) for the April 2023 Criminology Board Exam will be available online a few days after the result has been posted.

The successful examinees need the following information as it is required to fill out the following field:

  • Name of Exam
  • Examination date
  • Application number
  • First name and Surname
  • Date of birth

Target Date of Release

As per previous releases of Criminology Board Exam results and the target release date written in the PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the April 2023 Criminology Board Exam results are expected to be out in 30 working days after the last day of exams. However, it may also be released earlier or later than the said dates without prior announcement(s).
