TOPNOTCHERS: Librarian Board Exam September 2023

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases the complete list of top 10 examinees /topnotchers for the September 2023 Librarian Licensure Exam (LLE) in 3 working days after the exams.

PRC announces that 555 out of 886 passed the Librarians Licensure Examination.

The licensure exams for Librarians were administered by the PRC and the Board of Librarians headed by its Chairman, Yolanda C. Granda, and its member, Lourdes T. David.

The PRC and the Board of Librarians administered the exams on September 11-12, 2023 at Manila/ National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, and Tuguegarao.

In Marzo Meco Bagayaua Alfonso University of the Philippines-Diliman ranked first in the September 2022 Librarian Licensure Exam with 88.20% ratings. August Emmanuel Napoles Florese of the same school came second with 87.75% rating.

In September 2021 LLE, Francisco Fillon Magpantay Jr. of the University of the Philippines-Diliman aced the baord exam with 90.50%. Rebilyn Garcia Roman of City Colleges of Angeles-Angeles, Pampanga came second with 88.70%.

In the Librarian Licensure exam held last September 2019, Daniel Soriano Balbin Jr. of Benguet State University (BSU) – La Trinidad ranked first with an 89.75% rating. Following in the spot, Allyana Macabulos Bermudez of the University of Santo Tomas ranked second with 89.30% rating.

Lyandrea Grace Daoas Capuyan from Saint Louis University topped in the September 2018 Librarian Licensure Exams with ratings of 88.60%. Following the spot who garnered 88.50% is Briar Rose Javier Mariano of Baliuag University.

In the same exams held on September 2017, Apolonio Martinez Patron from the University of Santo Tomas ranked first with 90.85% rating. Sylvan Dan Macabante Moldes ranked second from the University of the Philippines- Diliman alum with 89.05%.

Registration of Successful Examinees

The schedule of the online registration for the issuance of PRC ID and Certificate of Registration for passers of the Librarian Licensure Exam will be from October 18 to October 19, 2023. The successful examinees are advised to register on PRC’s official website and follow the instructions for online registration.

Those who successfully registered online are required to bring the following:

  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal (downloadable)
  • Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only)
  • Two pieces of passport-sized ID pictures (white background and complete name tag)
  • Two sets of documentary stamps
  • One piece of the short brown envelope

Verification of Ratings

The Verification of Ratings (VoR) for the September 2023 Librarian Licensure Exam will be available online a few days after the result has been posted.

The successful examinees need the following information as it is required to fill out the following field:

  • Name of Exam
  • Examination date
  • Application number
  • First name and Surname
  • Date of birth

Target Date of Release

As per previous releases of Librarian Licensure Exam results and the target release date written in the PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the September 2023 Librarian Licensure Exam results are expected to be out in 3 working days after the last day of exams. However, it may also be released earlier or later than the said dates without prior announcement(s).
