TOPNOTCHERS: May 2023 Chemical Engineer Board exam

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases the complete list of top 10 examinees /topnotchers for the May 2023 Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination in two (2) working days after the exams.

PRC announces that 472 out of 801 passed the Chemical Engineers Licensure Examination.

PRC and the Board of Chemical Engineering headed by its Chairman, Engr, administered the licensure exams for Chemical Engineering. Ofelia V. Bulaong, and its members, Engr. Jeffrey G. Mijares and Engr. Cyd P. Aguilera.

The PRC and the Board of Chemical Engineering conducted the exams on May 16-18, 2023 in Manila/ National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, CDO, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Lucena, Cagayan de Oro, and Legazpi

Previous Chemical Engineering Topnotchers

In the October 2022 CELE, Jerome Ignatius Tan Garces of De La Salle University-Manila ranked first with 89.30% ratings. Oliver Roy Prayon Mangosing of Xavier University came second with 88.30%.

Richmond Caya Pepito of the University of San Carlos ranked first in the May 2022 Chemical Engineer Licensure Exam with 86.90%. It was followed by Shania Angel Meca Montesa of Technological Institue of the Philippines-Manila with 86.60%.

In the October 2021 Chemical Engineer Board Exam, Al Christian Regorgo Gobres of the University of the Philippines – Diliman ranked first with 84.00%. It was followed by Jeffrey Sibug Palcone of Adamson University with 83.40%.

In the Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam held last November 2019, Martin Zechariah Magat Valencia8 ranked first with 86.10% passing rate. Following in the second spot who garnered 85.80% in the same exam is Maru Feriel Olivan Dl Carmen from the University of the Philippines – Diliman.

Peter Nicholas Saquido Onglao of the University of the Philippines (UP) – Diliman topped the November 2018 Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam with 84.40%. Marcel Roy Barlis Domalanta of Saint Louis University (SLU) ranked second with an average of 84.30%

John Cyril Pastrana Claur of the University of Saint La Salle and Jared Philip Marquez Condez of the University of the Philippines Visayas – Iloilo City ranked first in November 2017 Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam with 84.60%. Wilmark Talidon Palacios of Colegio San Agustin -Bacolod City and Dave Ersan Ramos of UP-Diliman shared in second place with 83.90%.

Registration of Successful Examinees

The schedule of the online registration for the issuance of PRC ID and Certificate of Registration for passers of the Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam will be on July 17 – 20, 2023. The successful examinees are advised to register on PRC’s official website and follow the instructions for online registration.

Those who successfully registered online are required to bring the following:

  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal (downloadable)
  • Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only)
  • Two pieces of passport-sized ID pictures (white background and complete name tag)
  • Two sets of documentary stamps
  • One piece of a short brown envelope

Verification of Ratings

The Verification of Ratings (VoR) for the May 2023 Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam will be available online a few days after the result has been posted.

The successful examinees need the following information as it is required to fill out the following field:

  • Name of Exam
  • Examination date
  • Application number
  • First name and Surname
  • Date of birth

Target Date of Release

As per previous releases of Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination results and the target release date written in the PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the May 2023 Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination results are expected to be out in two (2) working days after the last day of exams. However, it may also be released earlier or later than the said dates without prior announcement(s).
