TOPNOTCHERS: Nurse Board Exam Result (NLE) May 2023

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces the list of top 10 examinees/topnotchers in the May 2023 Nurses Licensure Exam (NLE) 10 working days after the exams.

PRC announces that 10,764 out of 14,364 passed the Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination.

The licensure exams for professional nurses were administered by the PRC and the Board of Professional Nursing (BON) headed by its Chairman, Glenda S. Arquiza, and its members, Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Gloria B. Arcos, Carfredda P. Dumlao, Florence C. Cawaon, Cora A. Añonuevo, and Elizabeth C. Lagrito.

The PRC and the Board of Professional Nursing conducted the exam on May 28-29, 2023 in National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Previous Nurse topnotchers

In November 2022 NLE, Abigail Garganta Ramirez of Saint Paul University-Dumaguete ranked first in the board exam with 90.00. It was followed by Jezrel Cabasis Alijid of West Visayas State University-La Paz with 89.80%.

Keziah Kyleen Galit Gonzales of Emilio Aguinaldo College-Manila and Nora Jane Bacarisas Staveley of Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela were the topnotchers in the May 2022 Nursing Licensure Exam garnering an average of 90.00%. It was followed by Julia Flora Rosa Marquez Amarille of Our Lady of Fatima University-Antipolo City with 89.40%.

In November Nurse Licensure Exam, Kiarra Belle Arante Poblador of the Silliman University topped the NLE with 89.40%. It was followed by Francine Beatrice Liao Cruz of Southville International School and Colleges and Natelie Joyce Mariano of Medici Di Makati College, Inc. with 88.80%.

In the Nurse Licensure Exam, Haydee Soriano Bacani of Philippine Women’s University – Manila was the top notcher in the July 2021 NLE with 89.40%. It was followed by Liezel Mercado Tuazon of Angeles University Foundation with 89.00%.

In the previous Nurse licensure exam held on November 2019, Shaina Kei Cruiz Watanabe of the Davao Doctors College, Inc. was the topnotcher with 89.60% rating. Following in the second spot who garnered 89.00% was from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Ansherina Santiago Awatin.

In November 2018 of the same exams, Jennifer Jacob Quirante from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) – placed in the top 1 with 87.80% while Kathryn Angelie Agustin Bugho from Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation placed in the second spot with 86.80%.

Registration of Successful Examinees

The online registration schedule for the issuance of PRC ID and Certificate of Registration for passers of the Nurses Licensure Exam (NLE) will be from July 31, August 1-4, August 7-11, August 14-18, August 22-25 and August 29-31, 2023. The successful examinees are advised to register on PRC’s official website and follow the instructions for online registration.

Those who successfully registered online are required to bring the following:

  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal (downloadable)
  • Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only)
  • Two pieces of passport-sized ID pictures (white background and complete name tag)
  • Two sets of documentary stamps
  • One piece of the short brown envelope

Verification of Ratings

The Verification of Ratings (VoR) for the May 2023 Nurses Licensure Exam (NLE) will be available online a few days after the result has been posted.

The successful examinees need the following information as it is required to fill out the following field:

  • Name of Exam (e.g., Nurse Exam)
  • Examination date
  • Application number
  • First name and Surname
  • Date of birth

Target Date of Release

As per previous releases of NLE results, the May 2023 NLE results are expected to be out in 10 working days after the last day of exams. However, it may also be released earlier or later than the said dates without prior announcement(s).
