TOPNOTCHERS: Physician Board Exam Result March 2023

PHYSICIAN BOARD EXAM RESULT 2022 – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releaseS the complete list of top 10 examinees /topnotchers for the March 2023 Physicians Licensure Exam (PLE) in 3 working days after the exams.

PRC announces that 1,573 out of 2,887 passed the Physicians Licensure Examination.

The licensure exams for Physicians were administered by PRC and the Board of Medicine headed by its Chairman, Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, and its members, Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Dr. Rafael R. Castillo, Dr. Raquel S. Sayo, and Dr. Martha O. Nucum.

The PRC and the Board of Medicines conducted the last March 5-6, 12-13, 2023 at testing areas in Manila/ National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

Top 10 Passers in PLE

Here are the Top 10 successful examinees who garnered the highest percentage of ratings in the Physicians Licensure Examination.

Previous Physicians Topnotchers

In October 2022 Physicians Licensure Exam (PLE), Justin Adriel Zent Gautier Togonon of University of the Philippines – Manila ranked first with 89.00%. Francesca Marie Abu Lagrosa of the same school came second with 88.75%.

Linnaeus Louisse Abarrientos Cruz of the University of the Philippines-Manila ranked first in March 2022 Physicians Licensure Exam with 90.25%. It was followed by Bradley Ashley Gue Ong of the same school with an 89.00% rating.

In the October-November 2021 Physician Licensure Exam, Ian Gabriel Alparaque Juyad of the University of the Philippines – Manila ranked first with 87.50%. It was followed by Jian Kenzo Ong Leal of the same school with 87.42%.

In the Physicians Licensure exam, Maria Inez Sellado Benedicto of West Visayas State University – La Paz and Jude Philip Pozon Cebrecus of Cebu Institue of Medicine led the September 2021 PLE with both ratings of 87.83%. It was followed by Dickson Araza Laude of Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation.

In the Physicians Licensure exam held last March 2021, Jeremiah Dimapeles Lim of the Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Med.Found. ranked first with an 89.67% rating. Following in the spot who garnered 88.75% in the same exam is Gabrielle Paul Soriano Pascual of the Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Med.Found.

Jomel Garcia Lapides of the University of the Philippines – Manila topped the November 2020 Physicians Licensure Exam with 88.67%. Patrick Joseph Amunategui Mabugat from the University of Saint La Salle and Adrian Emmanuel Diago from the University of Santo Tomas both ranked second with an average of 88.58%

Maria Carla Edejar Buenaflor from the University of the Philippines – Manila topped the March and September 2020 Physicians Licensure Exams with 89.17%. John Marlon Bunag Lintan from the University of Santo Tomas came second with 88.00%

Registration of Successful Examinees

The schedule of the online registration for the issuance of PRC ID and Certificate of Registration for passers of the Physicians Licensure Exam will be from April 20, April 24 – 28, May 2 – 5 and May 8, 2023. The successful examinees are advised to register on PRC official website and follow the instructions for online registration.

Those who successfully registered online are required to bring the following:

  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal (downloadable)
  • Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only)
  • Two pieces of passport-sized ID pictures (white background and with complete name tag)
  • Two sets of documentary stamps
  • One piece of the short brown envelope

Verification of Ratings

The Verification of Ratings (VoR) for the March 2023 Physicians Licensure Exam will be available online a few days after the result has been posted.

The successful examinees need the following information as it is required to fill out the following field:

  • Name of Exam
  • Examination date
  • Application number
  • First name and Surname
  • Date of birth

Target Date of Release

As per previous releases of Physicians Licensure Exam results and the target release date written in the PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the March 2023 Physicians Licensure Exam results are expected to be out in 3 working days after the last day of exams. However, it may also be released earlier or later than the said dates without prior announcement(s).
