MANILA, Philippines – The University of the Philippines releases the UP College Admission results or formerly administered through UPCAT for the first-year applicants for the Academic Year (AY) 2021-2022 today, July 15, 2021.
“For those applying as first-year students at the University of the Philippines for Academic Year 2021-2022, the results of the UP college application will be released on 15 July 2021”, UP said on their official website.

To manage online traffic, the UP Office of Admissions is encouraging applicants to visit the application portal according to the time slot corresponding to the first letter of their surname.
- A to F at 8:00am – 10:59am
- G to M at 11:00am – 1:59pm
- N to S at 2:00pm – 4:59pm
- T to Z at 5:00pm – 7:59pm
- A to Z 8:00pm – 7:59am (free for all)

To view the results, the applicants are hereby directed to log into the application portal. Those who are qualified must confirm their slots through the website on or before July 30, 2021
UPCAT for AY 2021-2022 was cancelled due to the health threats of the COVID-19. Instead, the institution began accepting applications for first-year students online on January 7, 2021.
No UPCAT for AY 2021-2022
“Instead of the UPCAT, the University Councils, the highest academic policymaking body of the constituent universities in the UP System, approved a modified freshmen admissions system specific to AY 2021-2022. This includes an additional assessment of incoming first-year students by academic units to qualify for a degree program if deemed necessary,” the University of the Philippines said.
UPCAT is a yearly admissions exam held by the University of the Philippines (UP) for meritorious students who aspire to study at one of its seven constituent universities and one autonomous college located across fifteen locations across the country.
On these campuses, UP offers more than 170 undergraduate degree programs. While entry to the UP System is extremely competitive, with acceptance rates ranging from 15% to 27%, this guarantees that only the brightest students are accepted.
